Astros recover and beat Nats to put the World Series (2-1)

By: Renier González Jr,

Houston Astros (4) – (1) Washington Nationals (Nats win series 2-1)

The excitement was tremendous in the Natioanls Park, in Washington DC: The Fall Classic returned after 86 years and in addition the Nats fans had several reasons to celebrate to the rhythm of Baby Shark, they were winning the Series 2-0, it was the Juan Soto’s birthday and Aníbal Sánchez was climbing on the mound who was unstoppable in the postseason.

But as I said a few days ago, it is not easy to defeat these Astros and less with the winning mentality that it has:

Box Score:

The first hairline came in the second inning for the astronauts, a double from Carlos Correa to the left field and then Josh Reddick with a Texas that landed in the left garden put the game 1-0.
An entry later José Altuve would connect a biangular to the left meadow that Soto would miss badly and leave the little giant in the anteroom. A turn later Michael Brantley would tow him with a single to the box for second base.

The Nats responded in the lower part of the third chapter, after they walked to Zimmerman, Victor Robles shot a triple that would discount the board. (2-1)

In the fifth the same script was repeated, Altuve doubled to the left and Brantley sent him to home play with a single to the right field.

In the sixth inning, catcher Robinson Chirinos would disappear the ball against his compatriot, which put the game with the final 4-1. It is the fastest hit for e since Statcast began measuring such statistics in 2015. It is also the first time in history that three receivers fly the fence in three consecutive games, according to Stats.

It wasn’t a good night for Aníbal Sánchez: Defeated pitcher
Labor: 5.1 IP, 10H, 4C, 4CL, 1BB, 4K, 1HR, 93 launches (36-balls and 57strikes) EFE-6.75

Of the factors that hurt the Venezuelan were the disagreements he had with the umpire of the dish in many pitches. Likewise, he was only able to withdraw an inning of 1, 2, 3, in the other entrances he was always ambushed and left runners in the scoring position.

Zack Greinke: (4.2 IP, 7H, 1C, 1CL, 3BB, 6K, OHR, 95 pitches (36 balls and 60 strikes)
It was not the best version of the winner of CY Young in 2009 but he managed to walk almost five inning with a single race, in total he left 10 runners in base and 8 in scoring position, he did not have any entry to conga.

The victory was for Josh James (1-0) who closed the fifth inning by puncturing Ryan Zimmerman.

The rescue was for Roberto Osuna (1) who allowed an unstoppable but struck out one to end the game.

Analyze that both bullpen are working stable for what was expected.

Bullpen statistics in the World Series:
Astros Bullpen: (5CL in 9 IP) All races were made in the second game.
Nats Bullpen: (3CL in 10 IP)

The key to the game was the appropriate batting for both teams. The capitalists went 10-0 with runners in scoring position and left 12 men in circulation.
The Astros went 10-4 and left based on 10.

Tomorrow, game four is scheduled for 8.07 PM where they will face Hosuton José Urquidy and Patrick Corbin Nationals.
